Our history

Kelvinbox B.V. has only been operating under this name since March 15th 2025, but its owner and team have many years of experience. The company originally started as Droogijs Noord Nederland, which later expanded with the addition of Cryo Store. After Cryo Store was sold in 2022, its activities were reacquired by the former owner and continued under the Kelvinbox name.

Kelvinbox was originally a trade name within Cryo Store for temperature-controlled packaging solutions and was already a well-known name in the market.​

Droogijs Noord Nederland vof

In 1998, we started by producing dry ice only, alongside the development of our loyal mascot IC, who helped explain everything about dry ice. At the time, dry ice was our core business, and we also sold EPS boxes on the side for transporting dry ice.

Cryo Store BV

In 1999, Cryo Store B.V. was founded, and the focus shifted more towards the storage and shipment of pharmaceutical and biotech products. In addition, we supported the local food industry by packaging and shipping their sales samples. In 2022, Cryo Store B.V. was sold.

Kelvinbox BV

In 2025, the majority of Cryo Store B.V. was reacquired and continued under the name Kelvinbox B.V. With the exception of a small number of biotech and pharmaceutical clients, Cryo Store’s activities have largely been carried on under this new name.
